OK, Construction was supposed to be finished by June 30 and they ain't done. The glass wall is up now and you can see through into Tiger Stadium from Nicholson. There are no cherry-pickers working this morning, but several are still on site. There is still some timber bracing on the louvers in front of the glass wall to be removed and there is still some bricking on the elevator towers to be finished. The construction elevator is still working and much interior work appears to be going on. The construction lot is being rebuilt into a parking lot again. Everything should be ready for September, I'm thinking.
Take a couple of the entrance area if you would. I would really like to see how some of the cosmetic work around the front is coming. Thanks for helping.
Let's see... I haven't been to campus in a while, but there is the Mass Comm / Journalism building, the PMAC, the Academic Center for Athletes, the building with KLSU in it, the building with the Dean of Students, the Chemical Science building... are you in any of those, and am I missing any? You already said you don't work in the Athletic Admin building. I miss the campus and Baton Rouge in general. How's traffic?
New building south of TS. It was deliberately given the uninspiring name of the Energy, Coast & Environment Building . . . but it could be "lsu-i-like Hall" if you donate a few million in endowments.
I am not sure what has been going on at Tiger Stadium, but is sure seems like this has been the slowest project. I realize most things going on over there right are not visible, but it seems as if they have not done one thing since I left school in the spring.
