1. Hey boss, I suspect you aren't taking the 6 grand a year hit many young self employed folks like I am taking. ACA has created a situation where I am much better off being uninsured.

  2. Yes the young will get older. But the older need to die. It's a sad fact but the old are living too long and THAT is why price goes up. If you are on your 10th pace-maker and can't stay alive without 10 pills a day I think you have over-stayed your welcome. Reality sucks.
  3. For every problem solved another is created.
  4. I know that you don't know it, but you have been brain dead for years.

  5. Wow. You hurt my feelings. Nice deflect.
  6. Cost shifting is what all insurance plans do.

When I was doing reinsurance (where the really, really big money plays) a lot of those guys would not look at a case unless the average age was 30 or less.

    And

Too many females of baby making age would kill a case as well.

It's a balloon. Squeeze where you want, and it bulges somewhere else.

As an aside, the negative environment in North Carolina regarding teaching has severely reduced the influx of young teachers. Less cheap ( to insure) younguns and higher percentage of old farts. Rates in teachers health plan skyrocketing.
