He's lived there his whole life, he is extremely loyal, and chances are Cleveland will win a championship this year. The organization has done everything possible to keep him and surrounded him with a hell of a team especially now with Jamison.

Not enough to make him a lifetime Cav, but it at least gives both the Cavs and LeBron what they want. The Jamison trade showed LeBron they are serious about making him a champion. The Knicks will need to settle on probably a combination of players to get them back towards the top (e.g., Joe Johnson/Chris Bosh)
Re: NY Knicks are positioning for LeBron AND Bosh or Wade then why won't he sign an extension now and be done with it? the NBA is not the NFL, he knows exactly what a contract from Cleveland would be vs. one in NY, right now. no bargaining, because of the maximum contract system the NBA uses. He may stay in Cleveland ultimately, but the whole "loyal Cleveland kid" stuff is overrated. If he wanted to be a Cleveland boy, he could have fixed this drama by now.

Look, i'm not saying he's loyal and that's why he stays but he's got a hell of a team now and they adore him. He's gonna stay rather than play for a team that can't possibly contend. He's already gone through that.

All these scrubs like Delonte West and others would be nothing without Lebron spoon feeding them when the double and triple teams come. and I might add Tracy McGrady said he would sign for the minimum if Lebron signs in New York. Wade at the 1, McGrady at the 2 and James at the 3 would be lethal, no matter who the 4 and 5 are.
