Put in his shoes, I can't see the logic in this decision. Besides topping his own statistics, there is no way it can get any better for Leinhart. He won the Heisman and the National Championship and is projected to be a top draft pick....
He definitely can't go any higher in the draft, so he is potientally costing himself in millions of signing bonus money if he gets hurt.
Possible scenario: He's been told on numerous occasions that he could possibly get hurt and cost him his NFL career. I have no doubt this will be in the back of his head on each snap. I can realistically see him not playing to his full potential in fear of suffering a career ending injury. We may see a drop off in production next year. If you're scared, say you're scared. :geauxtigs
lol when the ball is snapped, players do not constantly worry over injury. maybe occassionally in the last game or two once draft is approaching if at all.
<If he is staying> Think about this though... right now he is the darling of his school, his state, and the national media. He is on top as far as that goes. I don't think he wanted to give it all up yet... you know, for his ego. In the NFL, he's an average Joe next year. Just IMHO.
