I remember this thread well--it was conceived in the middle of the night amidst much commisserating over coming close to losing our season opener to a depleted UNC squad. I'm sure many other "mistakes" have been conceived in similar fashion from time to time. Reading Tirk's points, he was spot on with many of his observations, but with the benefit of hindsight, it seems that is wasn't a matter of Miles being mediocre, but rather, LSU being a year away from a championship run.
Yates has proven to be a little better than Tirk thought:hihi: We all tend to go overboard when our team turns in a bad performance, especially when we should have lost to a team that was missing so many of it's best players. After watching that and the UT game I was very disappointed. Thank the lord we have turned things around and that our AD didn't agree with many others and fire our HC and promote our OC.
Yeah ole TJ Yates has won a few games in the NFL already, I would have never thought that after that game, that he had the talent or potential to make it to the next level. We should have ended that game better though last year, just fell asleep.
