I've been on the fence regarding Miles coaching ability but he is starting to win me over. His 22-4 record is a little inflated with a lot of cupcakes in there. However, he is showing to be a very good recruiter and above all he seems to be honest and loyal. Alabama had their snake for a quaretrback now they have one for a coach.

I've been pro-miles since the first day he wore purple and gold. This year we could've easily been playing for a nat. championship, but 11-2 'aint to bad.The half time adjustments and game plan last night show that he's a great game day coach! Even old st Nick was grabbing at his coattails this morning.( "Uhhh, yeah, uhhh thats my old team; See what I can do???):dis:After the game CLM shows his class and love for the team, the fans, and people of Louisiana. He brings stability to the team and hes a great recruiter.

CLM =consistent top 10 program and a shot at championships for years to come.
    CNS= a very good salesman
    I'm drinkin' the CLM cool-aide!!!:thumb: :geauxtige:lsup:

I really can't believe the Sabanites are still apologizing for him.
I'd rather have an average coach who wanted to be here instead of
someone who would jump ship with the first opportunity.

Whether or not Miles ever works out here down the road remains to be
seen mainly because I remember what happened during the Dinardo years.
Miles definitely does have more class than Saban and I'm sure he isn't going
to lie in peoples faces before he leaves.
I wonder how long it will take for the moving van to drive up in Saban's
yard when a job becomes available in West Virgina or Virginia?

Where are the haters? C'mon roygu, max, zinc(Ramah)83. Weigh in with your words of wisdom. Let's add a degree of difficulty: No mention of any losses over 6 months ago.

If Penn State, Virginia Tech, or Ohio State comes open. If I was a bama fan I would start a stressing.... The "Coach Speak" that Saban is great at will begin. Of course "Coach Speak" is the new jobs fans word for "Lying"

I will say it again, he never ONCE said, I always wanted to coach at bama, or I wanted to come to Bama. He said
"I wanted to be back in College" and "This is ONE (Big hint there) of the best places I can accomplish that" Or something very close to that.

I got no beef with Bama I think they have pretty good fans, but this "Saban is our next bear" Hardly Saban has NO emotional ties to Bama. Its just his current job...... For now In my opinion.

Our schedule is consistently one of the more difficult ones in the nation. Every team plays cupcakes and every coach has his record inflated by them. It is foolish to discount his record with this while at the same time comparing it (subconciously or not) to other over-inflated records without discounting it from them.

Cupcakes or not, they are not gimme games. This should be apparent when you consider Nick's record shows a few losses to cupcakes.

I've been doing a lot of soul searching as an LSU fan this past week, and I have come to this conclusion -- it is far better to be grateful and happy for what you have than to lament and be angry about what you used to have.

Fellow fans, Miles' only fault is that he hasn't won a NC -- like pretty much every other college coach today! He has, however, kept LSU together during the hurricane challenge and produced two teams that have each won 11 games and thoroughly dismantled two bowl opponents (two well-known and thought of teams, I might add). This team is loaded with young talent and our team has a bright future.

But even better, Miles WANTS to be at LSU, clearly has a genuine love for LSU and is a classy guy. If we are going to be angry at Saban (and I am and we should be by rights), than we should look in the mirror and realize how we wrong Miles with our attitude about him and unfair criticisms of his supposed faults. He deserves much better from us, just as we feel we deserved better from Saban.

My New Year's resolution is to support Miles 100% and be thankful for having such a great team run by solid coach and great family man -- Les Miles. The man with the white hat is my coach, and he is so much more respectable than Saban. Miles makes me proud to be an LSU fan. Thank God for him.

It is funny how Miles stock has risen with the hiring of that other coach at Bama. Miles has the respect of us, his peers, his family and the media. He is not branded as a coward, loser, liar or jerk.
