    LSU Athletic Director Joe Alleva has told WAFB 9SPORTS Director Steve Schneider that head coach Les Miles is staying

    Update - Herb Vincent, Vice-Chancellor of Communications for LSU has confirmed this report. Miles has agreed to stay.

    Wow, I didn't want him to leave but he really held LSU hostage just like I said he would. I don't have respect for him doing this at all. LSU is basically stuck with him now no matter what happens. He held us hostage and played this situation completely perfect. He knew we couldn't cherry pick a coach this late in the game.

    It is one thing to have job security and another to hold a university completely hostage...this deal is not healthy for LSU at all. Doesn't matter how you spin it.

    BATON ROUGE - LSU head football coach Les Miles notified LSU Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Joe Alleva on Tuesday morning that he will remain at LSU.
    "I am pleased to announce that Les Miles will remain the head coach at LSU," said Alleva. "Les has led this program to many great successes on the field and his players represent LSU well off the field. We look forward to many great years of LSU football under his leadership."
    Miles will have a press conference upon his return from Dallas where he is speaking at the convention of the American Football Coaches Association.

    I agree. We had a bowl game on Friday night and this is settled by Tuesday. How is that holding anyone hostage? I think it's legitimate timing for such a large decision. Michigan is the one screwed. Once again.

    the best part is Ott was speaking for 2 hours how Les is likely gone and espns sources were not going to make the same mistake twice. (he was trusting his and espn's sources)

    then jordy cuts in and puts an end to it saying the exact opposite.
