Ehhh...why would he want to live in Michigan?

    I mean...really...why?

Stacey gets it. When the problems are off the field, nothing is fun on the field. Les, like it or not, has some people up there that don't like him. Those people won't leave, an will always fight everything he would want to do. Doesn't matter if good or bad for the university. Les would be in a no win situation. Who would want to do that?
I often talk about the right fit. Like I said, that ship has sailed.
I also talk about some coaches being a family man first, look at this letter, family man.
I've given a number of stories on coaches and families, Jimbo Fisher, Phil Bennett and Les are three that come to mind, right off the bat. Jimbo had the Moo St job, passed. Bennett, had the K St job (Head coach in waiting), passed. With these two, thought outside of football. Les also looks outside football, for this, fans should be grateful, more than grateful.

    Sorry, long winded again

I think Les has brought a little bit of Michigan to the bayou and is happy to finish his career here. As far as Saban's shadow that is starting to ware off and if he manages to get a NC or two before he is done it won't even matter. The community and the people is what makes where you live home and I think Les has figured that out. He will always love UM and admire ole Bo, but I think he is a Tiger and proud of it.

Me too. I wonder a lot about you. You deny LSU a 2003 championship and you imagine that people still care about Saban.

If he was sincere in that letter, then he loves his time in Louisiana and probably isn't hurting over "unequal treatment" in the eyes of the fans.

He's a competitor; I think he loves suiting up against Saban yearly.

In a recent interview Paul Finebaum asked Les what his relationship with Saban was and Les said "We see each other once a year."

There are ghost among us and some of the ghost earn their living writing. I knew a publicist/ghost writer who would look a client in the eye and say, "All you need to do is think it, and I'll write it." Once he wrote it, his clients' were often sure that they must have thought it.
