Exactly - I've read the dozen threads and no one has a good explanation on why he's so terrible --- going 28-21 and playing in the Big XII south - The state of Oklahoma's #2 school - seems to be doing a pretty good job to me.... Has beaten Oklahoma ---I'd rather someone who has beaten Oklahoma then beating up on conference USA foes.

The reports from the papers are different than they have been (the La. papers that is). They have been talking in terms of 1st or 2nd choice, now they are talking in terms of when he will be offered the contract. They cite multiple sources from within the search committee. I agree he has not been hired yet, but the news is shaping up that way. Only a concerted effort to deceive the media would change things - or a impersonator of a search comm. member leaking false info to the media.
I will look at this from another point of view. I don't know about hiring another guy from the north. Everyone knows if Les Miles is successful he will leave LSU and go coach at Michigan when Carr leaves. WE could have this same situation over again in 5 years. :lol: :rofl: btw, I wish we could find another coach from the south that knows what LSU football is all about.
