    Ed Orgeron - DL coach

    Brick Haley - DL coach
if coach O deal falls through

With a name like Brick, how can you not be a DL coach?!
Les Miles stepped up his game these pass few weeks. Although we were
questioning his time frame for picking coaches...he's made excellent choices, in picking coaches on the rise.

Just saying I never had a problem with Miles' time frame. He hasn't f'd up a coaching hire yet.

    Co-dc's don't count as a hire?

And getting NFL position coaches has to look pretty good to prospects.

"There is a chance Chavis will bring either Dan Brooks or Steve Caldwell with him to LSU. Brooks coached defensive tackles at Tennessee and Caldwell defensive ends."

Excuse my ignorance, but would the statement above mean that coach O would be out. Or will these guys coach under him? BTW that was from the ESPN article.

If we show up against GT, we'll be a top 15 team to start next season and probably predicted as second in the West...just behind Alabama. The talent level is as high as it's ever been. This new - PROVEN - defensive coaching staff and experienced depth at QB will be what makes the difference. A number one recruiting class won't hurt us any, either...:thumb:

Just talked to my Tenn contact. He said Chavis is telling everyone that Dan Brooks, D-Line coach, is sure to be coming with him. He said that Chavis and Brooks are good friends and worked together a long time.

He had no new info about Coach O too Tenn.
