No we are not. We had better numbers through the first four games last year, and played much better competition. J Lee played very well the first six games or so. We also had R Randle to throw to. We have "no" big time receiver so far this year.
Did we have better numbers through the first 4 games on passing? Lets see! ZM through 4 games is 63 of 93. 67.7% Completion. Averages 8.4 per pass. 4 TD, 2 Int. 147.9 QB Rating. Lee through 4 games was 56 of 87. 64.4% Completion. Average 11.1 per pass. 6 TD, 1 Int. 156.9 QB Rating. He also had two games where he completed 10 or less passes. I'd say for the most part the numbers are a push. If you look at our offense as a whole we're better.
IIRC during the pregame radio interviews, Stud said that while he's up in the booth they're relying on Ensminger to be the position coach middleman.
How many top 25 teams have we played in the first four games in 2012? The answer would be zero. Last year we played Oregon, Miss State and West Virginia........so Lee was definitely much better!!!!!
True -- our competition this year is much weaker through the first 4 games than last year. As to the QB play, remember, though, Lee was a senior with a lot of experience. Last night was Mett's 4th start.
We all know this. The question (we were discussing) is who was better through the first four games? The answer is Lee.
Since sarcasm apparently isn't your strong suit, I'll take the time to explain this to you. All your talk about Lee being better doesn't change the fact that he's no longer sitting on our bench as a viable alternative. He is no longer a part of this team. As in gone. As in not coming back. It serves no purpose to constantly compare the performance of a 4-game starter to a player who is no longer here.
Since butting into others conversations, and trying to tell them what they can discuss, is your only reason for typing. Let me explain it to you: I do not care what you think, myself and others are having the conversation. If you have nothing constructive to add, then mind your own business. Good day!
