Here's a nice stat for you. Since LSU lost the national championship in Jan. 2012, LSU is 19-11 in SEC games. 9 of those losses have come to Western opponents. 4 to Alabama in a row, 2 to Arkansas in a row, 1 to Auburn, 1 to Mississippi State, 1 to Ole Miss. The only team in the West that hasn't beaten LSU in this time frame is A&M, and that could easily happen in 2 weeks. 19-11 isn't good enough. And if it ends up being 19-13, or 20-12, that's even worse, hell 21-11 isn't good enough. LSU has put the 4th most players in the NFL in this time frame behind Alabama, Florida State, and USC. We are witnessing a program similar to that of Florida State after the 90's, after Bowden's run, when his program started to slide further into mediocrity year after year. Or better yet Texas after Mack Brown won his in 2005 and then got back to the championship and then drummed by Alabama, then slip further and further year after year. That's eerily similar.
To put that in perspective from 2005-2011 LSU under Les lost 18 games total against all opponents including bowl games and the SECCG. From 2012 until now LSU has lost 11 conference games.
I just cant believe we haven't reached 20 points in a single game in 7 years against Alabama. 20 freakin points
Another wonderful stat, courtesy of Dandy Don. Arkansas had 8 sacks on the year heading into the game. They sacked Harris 5 times last night.
I'm honestly trying to figure out how Cam is worth anywhere near $1.5M/yr. You could take any competent no-name OC in any other program with the available talent, and replicate these results for a fraction of the salary.
Well don't you know that Grimes is just the best? He is just so good, and this OL forget about it, with their talent and Grimes they are all pro. At least that's what we were told.
