I don't see any "maroon jersey" comments coming from him. He was my first choice, so I am jaded, but I am so convinced we got the right the man for the job.
Talk about an emotional dude. That is a major difference from the other coaches at LSU at this point.
Personally, I don't think we'll see such comments from him again anytime soon, mainly b/c I don't think he's going to lose many games while in Baton Rouge. No need to yell yerself hoarse there, Coach, when you're winnin'. Just point to the scoreboard and nod approvingly. :thumb:
The b12 schools laugh at him because of those interviews, but I myself find it endearing. I hope he won't have to go into many though, because they are almost all after a loss
That was after the OU loss last season. The local sports radio station made a funny parody of that post game speech.
You know some of the stuff he says is cool. The whole let er rip thing was great. But, with that music in the background, that is actually just funny. It's like he's about to break down and cry. Kinda like a Dick Vermeil type. But, as a player, I'd rather play for a guy like Vermeil or Miles who will risk looking stupid to go to war for you.
I love what he said and the way he stuck up for the team. Like someone else said, I don't expect this from an LSU team though. I get the feeling he was talking as if OSU was a much smaller/worse team then OU but gave it their best
