Let's flip the script on competition. Here's where I call "check" on LSU 2019

Ranked, or unranked, and when. Let's set aside that whole it and ask one question.

It's Texas on the road. If you're watching Alabama playing in that game do you expect them to win in the fourth quarter? Do you think the Texas game would have been as close if it was against Alabama? No. I don't. They could not contain the wide receivers.

Auburn. At home. This is basically the same defense as last year but a hell of a game plan. It's a close game at home. Is this an Alabama win?

Florida. At home. It's a tight game. Who do you see coming away with this in the fourth quarter? is it Bama?

What bearing does this have right now? I believe the margin of victory would be higher for Bama. I believe you would agree Alabama would win all of those games. It's two pair: 9's and 9's black vs 9's and 9's red.

Dunno. If we play new mexico state at home, does LSU win? Who cares how those games were played when there are a significant amount of factors going into how those games were played and won. Will they all apply come Saturday? Some will and some wont. Still guessing, aren't we? It's why we play the game instead of making broad leaps at what the past has shown us. Truth is, no one here, or there can predict the outcome of this game.

If ifs and buts were candy and nuts, it would be Christmas year round.

    See you Saturday, Forest.

All I'm concerned with is what happens Saturday afternoon. I don't give a shit what happened in prior games. It's history. It provides discussion for Internet forums and writers to write about. Nothing beyond that. The players and coaches don't give a shit about it. They view it as a distraction and noise. As do I.

I see your WWAD scenario. Sure they hypothetically win. No doubt.

I will take LSU's tough games and playing through adversity and coming out on top. That is a real thing. It is not a what would LSU do. LSU will get smacked on Saturday and they have shown to stand up. That grit is not hypothetical.
