Are you serious? And they are still charging $129 for it like they did for the replica Coaches Trophy they made for 2006 Florida? That is absolutely pathetic. A 4-year-old could design a better trophy to commemorate our 2007 Undisputed National Title. And that company's claims to offer "A World of Fine Collectibles"? What a joke. Sure, I imagine what happened was that the AFCA (Coaches Poll) withdrew their permission to allow that company to produce replica Coaches Trophies this year, and that the AP never give them permission to produce replica AP Trophies, but still, you can't come up with a more pathetic trophy than that one they designed for LSU this year. I can't believe they claim that is "a magnificent tribute to the 2007 national champions!" They can burn in hell.

Of course not. All that "trophy" is a porcelain LSU football, and the ugliest LSU football I've seen at that.

Anyway, speaking of commemorative footballs in honor of our Undisputed National Championship this year, here's one that I'll push -- http://www.kadn.com/sports/13546622.html

Although most would agree that it is a handsome football, I still don't think that pic does it justice. I saw it live on the news, and they were showing it off in a glass case, and it looked pretty nice.

However, the most important part is that the proceeds go to build the New LSU Band Hall (go to the LSU Band website to see the design for new Band Hall, its pretty sweet), rather than to some purely non-LSU company.

 

Estimated availability September 2008!!! I guess when you are making a 'magnificent tribute' you can't rush the fine craftmanship. Plus I am sure 'platinum lacing' is hard to come by.
