Just making all private schools play up is not a fair solution, because - again - the problems are not being caused by every private school, but a small handful, and mostly for football only. The principals were given a proposal that would have allowed the Exec Director to handpick programs that he felt needed to move up. (Specific teams; he could have moved the LCA basketball team up to 5A and left the football team in 1A, for example). The proposal was amended to have the ED recommend such moves to the Exec Committee, who would have the power to force a team up. It was dumped when they voted to keep the split.

It was just a general statement but that is what I meant. I know it wouldn't be far to force all private schools to do the same.

It is not just LA. When I was West Des Moines, IA 15 years ago, this was huge amongst the big high schools.
