Lil Wayne is from New Orleans. Back when he was just getting started, he would go to Tulane sporting events. I had a buddy that went to Tulane who was a huge fan before he was big and he would get pics etc with him. This was back when no one would ask him for a picture.
He was for Minny in the NFC title game. Then when the Saints win the SB, he all-of-a-sudden writes a Saints "song". He's bandwagon. The ONLY reason he gave LSU a shout is b/c we're #1. He probably wouldn't give two s!it@ if LSU weren't on top right now. Lame sports fan IMO.
A true Packers fan would never route for Minnesota. Don't recall that happening but maybe it did. I don't remember a Saints song either. He did remix "Black and Gold to the Superbowl" and "Black and Yellow" by Wiz Khalifa into odes for Green Bay (Green and Gold). I don't think he even pretends to be a Saints fan. He doesn't hate them, but he's a Packers fan.:thumb:
He went for minny cuz his fav. player is brett favre . thats y he was and still is a packers fan . he told that in a interview on espn after GB won the SB .
I'm not saying it makes a difference whether he is a fan or not but the dude has 31 Million Facebook fans...it's great, free advertising from a guy a lot of our recruits probably listen to. I know I do...not that I would choose a school based on one of my favorite rapper's interests but I don't think it hurts at all.
