Maybe, because teams recognize that most players are using it anyways. Do you end up punishing a player for being honest enough to admit he uses it and thereby reward those who lie about using it?

Perhaps I'm naive, but why do marijuana users (are you, Bitter?) always assume "most" people smoke?

And the Raiders certainly qualify as one stupid franchise based on their draft choices during the past decade. I can easily see Al Davis pass on JR. He's probably dumb enough to group JR in with the horrible Marinovich draft and close enough to remember what happened down the road in San Diego with the Leaf disaster. If Davis can somehow get a semi-solid veteran QB via trade and/or other draft moves his past history is reason to think he will let JR slip through his hands.

These players admitted to using it at one point in time. I don't think they would be dumb enough to admit if they were dope heads. We don't know what the question was or their specific answer. Maybe they didn't inhale, who knows. It doesn't seem like a big deal to me.

If they did make these players suffer because of a leak of information that would be the end of honest evaluations and not good for the players or teams. I commend their honesty and I am sure the teams do to.

The guy never said anything about "most" people. He is implying that more than 3 people who filled out the NFL questionnaire, smoke dope.

It wasn't a "leak" of info. It was a question posed to the players, and these are players that admitted they had tried marijuana. They're the one's that "leaked" the info.:thumb:

It was a closed interview from what I understand. The information wasn't supposed to make it to the public and other teams. Therefore, leaked.
