    Questions:

    1. I think we are only allowed 83 scholarships this season because of the sanctions. If that is the case, we have two too many players. There must be some other players who are transferring or perhaps they are figuring that a couple of the signees like Korte and someone else won't qualify.

    2. I thought they were going to give P.J. Zimmermann a scholarship, but I guess there is not room.

    3. I don't think that Joe Lawrence counts as a scholarship. If he does, can you tell me who the 83 are for this season? Who shouldn't be on my list?

I believe it was for tutoring Livings that was not available to all students.

I thought I read somewhere that LSU offered up self-imposed sanctions for the Livings/tutors/teachers deal & the NCAA agreed. I could be wrong.

    Ricky Jean-Francois makes 86.

There will probably be 1 or 2 transfers (maybe Flynn being one of them). Maybe 1 or 2 due to grades. So I think the numbers will naturally take care of themselves.

That sanctioning involved only this recruiting class according to a guy I asked last week, he asked one of the coaches and posted it on the TigahDen for us. So I think we still get to have 85 players. But, you are right about Zimmerman and I also read in the advocate last summer that Petty was given a schollarship, so that would make 87. I wonder if those are conditioned on them having room? Between Spring and fall camp there is ually a couple of guys that leave and maybe they are counting on that.

We are allowed 85 ships. We were restricted to 23 initial counters, which was a completely symbolic gesture. BTW, it's almost impossible for an outsider to get a really accurate count of ships. Too much going on that's unknown to the general public.
