    I'm a day late on this one, posted in connection with the anniversary of the only "successful" escape of Alcatraz (June 11). Alcatraz was probably the first prison in America to have hot showers for its inmates. Not out of compassion - it was intended to keep prisoners from getting used to cold water in the event of an escape attempt; the waters surrounding the island are notoriously cold.

    Julia Louis-Dreyfus's sister appeared in 9 episodes of Seinfeld. She play a waitress in the restaurant where they all ate. Her most memorable scene was when she gave the finger to George.

    It was a British network, and is a parody of early TV's American sitcoms. Premise is that it is the recently-discovered "lost tapes" of a fictional American TV producer. They may as well have hung a sign on the wall, "Hey! We're making fun of I Love Lucy!" According to wikipedia, 8 episodes were produced, including a Christmas special. This episode is the only one that aired.
