This is up there with the longest weeks in history. Since I'm a teacher, grades for the first six weeks are also due--but at least I'm done with that now.

    GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This week is going by so slowly, I've got the itches. I've been wondering, how can a team stay focused on what will go down Saturday? This morning on WWL 870, they were talking about Les NOT trying to bring down the players if they appear to be getting too pumped. Sometimes you want to try to keep them at a lower level, but not this weekend. Why do you figure?

Geez, I can't stay still just waiting to watch the game. I can't imagine if I were playing in it.

I've got so much schoolwork to catch up on- all I've been doing is reading about the game!

Anyone with a degree in English willing to check my english paper on Sunday- be much obliged, it's due Monday. I'm starting today, but I don't think I'll finish before the weekend.

hey man, i've got the new lsu academic logo, which is basically the new athletic logo if you want it. just pm me your email and i'll send it to you (eps format straight from lsu marketing dept)

i don't know if everyone else has noticed or not, but lsu has switched the athletic logo to being just the font and the tiger head. most of the new apparel is just the font.

The new academic logo features a stylized sketch of Memorial Tower/Camponille and the Geaux font "LSU". I don't know how this is the same.

It's all part of the NOW!

they've changed the font and the font is the main "mark" or "bug" or whatever terminology you're used to. this is why most apparel now only uses the font -- because it has become the mark.

previously the academic and athletic logos used different "fonts" (or now, the main mark) whereas now they're the same. they use the same cap height, kerning, proportions, etc. which is good because it's solidifying the brand of lsu.

the difference b/t the two is obvious of couse because of the tiger head and the tower (which is an ugly representation of the tower anyway), but i really didn't think that needed to be said. most people should be able to compare and contrast the two pretty easily.
