Here's how it goes. Any student ticket can be upgraded for the price of a general admission ticket on top of the price of the actual student ticket ($12) so we're talk around a $60 ticket but for this caliper of game, is a steal! However, Bama in '08. I expect tickets to be mighty high but it'll be awesome. Just get back to me early next season
You will never leave. I can remember staying in the stadium after the game was over more than 30 min. One game is all it takes!
My first game in Death Valley was the Florida game this year. It was the greatest football atmosphere I have ever been around. I realize that any other game at the Valley might not be AS good, but I have a feeling if you get the whole experience that I got, which was from 9:30am to 2 am, it will be the best you have ever seen.
Our good games are at home in odd years - like this one, and again in 09. In 08 Alabama will be the only big home game we have. There's a big back story there (their new coach is our old coach), which is why our fans will be so excited for the game. For an outsider, I'd suggest waiting until 09 for Auburn or Florida.
You will not a real sense of Tiger Stadium unless it is a night game. Period. End of story. Unfortunately, we have so many games picked up for TV that this is often a problem. Trust me. Make sure you come to a night game!
That's awesome. Good for you. That's definitely a worthwhile hobby, and one that I've gotten into as time permitted. And upon retirement, I guarantee you the wife and I will be making trips to all sorts of sporting events (soccer excluded, obviously.) Yep, that's the home game of the year, assuming it's a night game and Saban hasn't left Alabama for the A&M job. Don't worry about that so much. Besides, it's much easier to get a Traveler of Beam into the adult sections. :hihi: This sums it up perfectly. There is a huge difference (like night and day, even!) between....ummm...night and day games. And if it's a night game, you can get your belly full from the generous tailgaters that are all around. You probably won't even need to ask, and they'll invite you in for some great food and booze.
Thanks everyone, i'm gonna look into the student thingy. I don't think it will be near the best i've seen(i've been in middle of riots in Poland and Turkey Derby's with complete lunatics), and that's not what i'm looking for, i'm just looking for a different atmosphere or just one i never been to. I was at this game in Poland and a riot broke out after. I try to stay away from these type of Derby's now. http://youtube.com/watch?v=ENWcTcccito
If you are looking for a different atmosphere then LSU is the place to visit. I am sure that those wild soccor games were amazing and I myself would love a chance to see one in person. However, it is not just about the game at LSU. Fans start arriving on Thursday night and the party last until Sunday morning. Close to 200,000 fans are on campus for these games and you will be invited to numerous tailgates to enjoy food and drinks. I am sure it will be some of the best food you have eaten. Close to 100,000 fans go to the game without tickets and have no intention of getting into the game. They just sit outside and watch the game from their tailgate and keep the party going. I doubt there will be any riots but it will be a differnt kind of excitement. I hope you can make a game soon and make sure it is a night game for the ultimate expierence.:thumb:
