1. It's not a two year contract with the Les Miles clause. That's the point. Les Miles clause is the clause that says the contract is void 6 months after Les is fired or quits. Great for LSU but coaches don't like it. That's why chavis left.
  2. I would be ecstatic if he could teach our corners that bump and run coverage means, 1. Bump (jam), 2. Run...

  3. You mean you are not a fan of them playing 8 yards off the ball?

  4. I hate that too, but I'm talking about when they line head up and still give the receiver a free release... Jam the guy to throw off the timing of the route, you're 1yd away from the receiver...
  5. I echo what @shane0911 said. We could use a good Wisconsin fan on the board.

  6. I'm thinking he may step in when we can Miles' glee ass.

  7. Aranda has been called the "defensive coordinator whispered.". In 1999 he traveled from California to Baton Rouge to study defense under Lou Tepper. I wouldn't whisper that one too loud around Tigertown.

  8. Sometimes you need to study what not to do.
  9. Same reason Chavis left. Alleva is an asshole.
  10. This hire came so fast that it must have been pre-arranged. Coach Miles never really fires anybody overtly. Like several coaches before him, Steele was likely told he might be better off finding some greener pastures. Miles already knew who he wanted and now he finally had the power to get a "no Les clause" contract past Aleva, who is now toothless and needs to find greener pasture himself.
