    All the talk about partial qualifying and seeing the field "earlier" at USM is all bogus.

    As of August 2005, there are no more partial qualifiers. There was talk about how C-USA could have 2 partial qualifiers, that is totally bunk.

    So now this issue of Brown possibly selecting USM is even more perplexing, given the fact that LSU and USM are on equal playing fields from an academic standpoint.

    I just think the coach that recruited him at Ole Miss who is now at USM has done a bang up job getting his attention. Plain and simple.

    I am hearing rumors hear on the coast that he has cancelled his visit to LSU this weekend. Has anyone else heard this? I guess D. Brown doesn't want to have a chance to win one of these. :crystal: Oh well, good luck to him either way.

    Not saying they know what they are talking about but:

    Brown is not yet academically qualified, however, and could play immediately as a partial qualifier at USM because Conference-USA's policies are not as stringent as those of the Southeastern Conference.

    He is supposed to announce today at 5pm on WLOX. I will most definitely keep ya'll posted.

    Nothing that he says in his announcement would suprise me at this point.

    Rivals is reporting that he will sign will USM and not take his official to LSU, this sucks! At least thats what a text message from Rivals said, then I went to the website I couldn't find anything.

    In less than an hour we find out and we can put this crap behind us

    This just means it opens up one more slot for the stellar 09 class that LSU will end up with.

    On top of that, we weren't gonna see this kid for 2 years, so not like we were gonna reap the rewards early on.

    Sucks to lose out on him (especially to USM) but having Randle and Kenny Bell around next year takes the sting off a bit..and having D-Benton coming in this year helps too.

    I don't really know much about USM's program, but I hope they have a QB that can get DeAndre the ball. It would be a shame if they didn't.:nope:
