He who laughs last, laughs best. Any LSU fan in Ohio will be laughing long and hard this January. Good job!:thumb:
LSUfanincincy, where ya at man? I'm living in Erlanger/Independence area and commute to Cincy to work every day. As far as tOSU fans go,just today I talked with a couple in Cincy and they KNOW they have a creampuff schedule this year and don't want anything to do with playing another SEC team for the NC in Jan. I talked to one today and said "there is a good chance LSU and tOSU play for the NC this year". He didn't even know where it was being played this year and when I told him the Superdome in N.O. he said "oh crap". They know the SEC up here and they rightfully fear the SEC. GEAUX TIGERS!!!:geauxtige
Keep your foot on his neck, Barka. I've got one of those wannabes in California. Luckily, that loss at home to a 40 point dog is still keeping him under the covers or I'd have heard from him today for sure.
"Big Ten, Sec, Pac Ten , Big East, ACC, Mountain West whatever!! Football is football conferences are just to keep organized and Just like in any other sport some teams are going to better than other along with the "leagues" Year after Year Tressel has it guys in the top 5! Yes Last year he had a great offense and SO SO Defense!! LSU thanks to some luck but mostly Jamarcus Russel SURPRISED ALOT of ppl!! Ohio State Didnt have a BONAFIDE QB this yr, Todd Boeckman pick up right where Smith Left off!! Flynn is now showing why He BACKED UP RUSSEL and NEVER PLAYED WHEN RUSSEL WAS HEALTHYY!! WE reload u guys are just LUCKYY!!! THANKS FOR TYRING!!!" These comments made me laugh really hard. Because of Russell we were lucky? We lost to Florida last year with Russell by 13. We beat them this year with Flynn by 4 which could have been 10. Flynn playing in Russells place in 05 stomped Miami's a$$ 40-3. And yet when we did lose to Florida last year we lost by 13... Florida dominated the holy grail of OSU 42-14 on National Television. Seems again OSU fans are delusional about the big ten mediocrity. I would love to see an OSU/ LSU matchup but then we'd be blamed for a cake walk NC.
Dunno. Year in, year out, Jim Tressel has OSU right freaking there in the mix of national title contenders. To coin a hip-hop phrase, you can hate the playas (the silly red sweater vests, the somewhat obnoxious fans), but you certainly can't hate the game. Jim Tressel has won over 82% of his games, owns arch-rival Michigan, and has to his credit 1 national title, 2 title game appearances and final finishes of #1, #2, #4, and #4 over the past 5 seasons. That's pretty damn good. If they go undefeated, they absolutely deserve a trip to New Orleans.
I know the feeling...head to Findlay and you'll find some refuge...they have 4 LSU fans up there right now
Are you serious? Put OSU in the Big 12, PAC10 or the SEC and they wouldn't finish above 2-3 losses each year and maybe worse if in the SEC. They get those rankings because of the Big 2-3 they play in and not having a Conference Championship to play for.
I love comments like this ... (tears). The SEC is 9-10 against the Big 10 and 6-7 against the PAC 10 since 2002. The SEC is 9 games UNDER .500 in your last 115 games against other BCS league teams (incl. ND). You're 5-4 this year. Dang, wasn't it Auburn that lost ONE conference game in two years, but lost two out of conference games (GT and Wisconsin) in those same two years. Now... I repeat (as I often do) you guys have a great conference and should be most proud... but some of these comments are downright silly. Btw, it hard to trash tOSU (even though I'd rather beat them than most anybody)... They scheduled Texas home and away when Texas was "hot", they have home and aways starting next year with Southern Cal, Then Miami (Fl), then Va Tech. I know, I know... this ain't my team's forum... but this was funny!!
Ohio State may have quality opponents in the past and in the future, but as for this year......they have......give me a second I'm trying to think of someone.....ok, I give up. They have nobody. I don't discredit them for past and future schedules, but this year they have an easy one. Thats all I'm saying.
