I agree 100%!!! If the government wouldn't restrict my right to defend my health and well being from those around me blowing poison toxins at me I could put a 45 slug between their eyes and there would be no need to prohibit smokers from smoking where ever they dare. This government control of everything sucks! Or then again maybe some government control is better, after reading your posts I'm no longer sure. Either way I'm locked and loaded just in case you convince the government to stop trampling my personal rights.
you mean like the ones you suck up everyday in traffic or in any PUBLIC area with cars and/or plants nearby? really do you think about it then? no outcry for this though its much worse for you. or you could just choose not to go where smoking is allowed. once again, capitalism at its best and the very core of this country's success. you gave those up, not me.
A close friend lives in Destin. He is in radio marketing, and was very concerned when Florida first banned smoking in bars. There is an immediate revolt by smokers, and then, they generally start to show up again. Bottom line is, the owner needs to weather the storm. People like to party, and will party at bars, clubs, etc, whether they can smoke or not. It turns out that its not as big a deal as many opponents think it is. Overall impact to public health is significant over time. And these are bottom line dollars that the state will get return on in only a few years.
DO NOT WALK INTO BUILDINGS THAT ARE FILLED WITH PEOPLE SMOKING!!! Seriously, it is that dam easy! Get out a little more often, you'll see that lots of places are voluntarily offering smoke free environments. Go to those places, and enjoy the clean air. Or continue going to smokey beer joints and bitchin' about it. Choice is yours. I did it myself this past weekend. Required the exact same amount of effort/energy as it took me to walk into a smoking area the last time I did that as well.
Have another cigarette and calm down. I don't go to bars anymore, however you can't walk down the street or go anywhere where someone isn't lighting up, usually even in places where it is illegal. I'm not bitchin', I like the new law you're the one crying about your personal rights being trampled. If you want to commit suicide I have no problem with it, just don't take me with you. Kind of like the suicide bomber should just kill himself, or would that be trampling on his personal rights too?
maybe we can get the government to regulate the decibel level in barrooms too. That loud sh!t can cause long term hearing damage. oh and while we're at it, they should also ban alcoholic beverages too. I mean afterall, that stuff causes some long term health risks as well. And that's not even counting the drunkards weaving their way down the highway trying to get home. generally, people will show up again, because
That would mean agreeing that making a fish taco was a good idea to begin with. I'm not sure I'm ready to go that far yet.:hihi:
