    Gueydan is a widely recognized cultural hub around which such important entities as Lake Arthur and Kaplan revolve. :hihi:

    Zachary is known for.....um, I guess I see your point, there is a big difference. :rofl:

    That used to be a big rivalry is it as intense as it once was? Haven't played every year like y'all used to.

    Sorry but "perception" plays less than a tiny part in "what is wrong" with this state. Sadly reality steals the show from perception.

    I personally think it's great to show what is good about this state, i.e. our culture, so Gueydan fills the bills nicely.

    Stop now, Zachary has a super walmart, a Chili's (which sent the town into a tizzy that is still going strong and Knott's Meats, home of the Jalapeno cheddar smoked sausage.. GOOD STUFF!! :D

    Not even close. They stopped playing when I was a sophomore in college and no one younger than that remembers the rivalry.

    In case you don't realize it, that culture is what makes Louisiana famous.....
    And it's not "hicks".........it's "coona$$"!!!! :hihi:

    In Oklahoma, they will be going to the Prison Rodeo at the State Pen. in McAlester. :dis:

    Won't that be a lovely image of the state!

    but it is EMBARASSING when they classify us as all idiots... call the name what u want

    it is one thing if they would focus on culture etc...

    but they will make us seem like clowns... book it..
