Her husband was the only one who ever made her look smart....."coach", a complete buffoon, he's in church with his fly open, shirt untucked, hair a mess and always preoccupied with who's around him..... a complete sloth.....typical though.

I'm inspired by this thread. I didn't think anyone in la cared about education, unless there is a black kid or pregnant girl at school.

Let's see. You don't like Jindal because of his conservative views, despite the fact that he has run a sqeeky-clean administration, but you just love Edwards who just got released from federal prison because of public corruption. Oooooooookay.

Jindal is very much a leader, even if he is not the kind of leader everyone would prefer.

As governor his biggest negative is his failure to understand the state's budget problems is not due to over-spending, but to lack of revenue. The biggest mistake he and the legislature did was get rid of the Stelly Plan without putting back the state income tax on food. In addition, the poor economy, decline in oil prices and loss of federal funding on Medicare, all contributed to the budget shortfall of the past 4 years, none of which is his fault. However, his attempt to deal with the deficits with cuts rather than with a combination of cuts and raising more revenue has led to prisons and hospitals being closed, state employees losing their merit increases and significant cuts to education and health care. But the cuts to education and health care are not all his fault. The way the constitution is written many programs and agencies are protected from budget cuts which means any cut have to come primarily from education and health care. Jindal has twice tried to get a bill passed through the legislature removing those protections, but his bill failed.

Another problem he has is communication. He is not a people person, and his failure to communicate with the legislature (particularly in his first term) resulted in many of his bill failing to get past the legislature. Some have criticized the legislature for being his lapdog, but believe me it is anything but.

On the plus side he has reformed education by giving students more choices in where they will attend school through the voucher system. He has also supported charter schools, developed a better system for grading schools and reformed the tenure program for teachers which has been the biggest barrier to educational reform in more than half the states.

His political reforms in the form of sunshine laws have significantly raised the standards of state politics on the national level, although there is unquestionably more he could do in this area.

All in all, I would give him a C. Somewhat disappointing in view of the fact that he could have gotten an A.

I'm not believing this shit. Replace Jindal With Obama and you'd be praising him for the same shit. You love the Obama agenda of tax and spend but it's terrible to try and balance the budget? Nothing wrong with parents being able to keep the money they'd normally pay in taxes for public school, and use it towards private school of their choice. My kids are going to private school now but I'm still paying taxes to the democrat indoctrinating public schools. And Your knocking a nanny state idea? Holy shit! Your the biggest Obama cocksucker I know red. Jindal just happens to be a member of the other party. Your knocking budget cuts to hospitals but love you some Obamacare? And your bitching about lack of prisons? Think of it as more democrats being able to vote, they make up over 3/4 of prison populations anyway. Maybe you can get Nagin to run for governor red. He'd be right up your alley. I see a lot of similarities between the Obama administration and Mayor Nagins. By the way red. I corrected your post so.

Oh, you don't like his rapid fire speech full of facts and figures????!

Everytime I hear him speak, I keep thinking that I am going to hear Dave Hester from Storage Wars in the background.

    "YUUUUUUUUUUUUP"

Jindal and privatization of prisons, making incarcerating human beings a for profit industry in Louisiana. That's enough for me to hate his fucking guts.

Don't try to imagine my beliefs when I've already stated them clearly, it just makes you look stupid.

Holy shit is right. You are the biggest complainer about anyone getting public assistance, yet you think its is fine to have my tax dollars pay for your kid to go to private school? What a goddamn freeloader you are. Just another delta porch monkey.

You just don't know shit, Mississippi. Jindal is a terrible governor. Even the republicans here will tell you. He's turned into The Kingpiyush.

Try to pay better attention. I'm knocking budget cuts to universities and the medical schools. The friggin' charity hospitals will disappear under the Health Care Law, they won't be needed anymore. You should be happy. Private insurance companies will profit selling insurance so that everyone can go to private hospitals that will profit by it. The socialist charity hospital gulags will be obsolete. But Louisiana still needs doctors that used to train at the charity hospitals. Med students are fleeing Louisiana right now because of Jindal. There is a huge brain drain happening at the universities because of Jindal. LSU has no President, no Chancellor, and about four other major administrative jobs are vacant. Top researchers have been leaving for other schools and taking their grants with them.

I have not said one damn thing about prisons. You are making up shit to argue against. Are you off your meds?

It shows by how little sense it makes.

Someone tell please tell me how Obama came into this, and 1 more thing, I always thought it was congress who appropriated spending, not the President. What power does the president have to spend money?

First off. If someone is sending their kid to private school they shouldn't have to pay school tax, but thats be considered a subsidy to democrats instead of a refund aka voucher.
You don't want to see a nanny state but you don't mind a nanny country do you.
Charity Hospitals? You really want to see them disappear? Lebonheur, st Jude, Shriners hospital ? Damn!you'd rather have a govt run hospital like Cuba and Russia then.
Prisons should be prisons. Not country clubs. Make them convicts earn their keep and quit billing taxpayers for organ transplants and lawyers filing appeal after appeal.
Porch monkey? I'm not a blue gum. But I do know a bunch of them democrats.
