1. Yep. Preseason polls matter more for small schools. If an unranked Missouri wins out, they’re in.

  2. Interesting, and then?
  3. College football. An amateur sport where only a few schools have a change to excel at and it will only get leaner now with NIL. Never a sport that what Drake says "Started from the bottom, now my whole team fuckin' here." And never will be one.
  4. "...will only get leaner..." isn't what I consider to be a problem. I've longed for a separation between teams in FBS for years.

Changing the subject slightly here...did you see the makeup of the new board for "consitutional" matters in the NCAA? You'll see a lot of names from conferences you've likely never heard of, DIII type guys. What business do they have writing rules governing schools far above their "pay grade?" IE: Does McNeese State have any room to say what size staff a school like LSU carries?

  5. When that happens, the SEC schools will withdraw from the NCAA!
  6. If that happens, what do you think the effect will be on sports other than football?
  7. Remember the famous quote from the Watergate investigation? —- “Follow the money”. College football is the money! The other sports will follow football.
  8. At most schools football is one of two revenue producing sports. Are you suggesting football & basketball are going to generate enough revenue to sustain themselves and all of the other non revenue producing sports?
  9. They are mainly doing that now.

  10. I think they are able to do that with money they receive from the SEC.
