6 dosen't work well because 4 teams would have to play an extra game when the top 2 seeds are resting. 8 would be best - the 5 conference champs and 3 wild cards

I'm ok with the top 2 teams resting, but like I said I could live with 8. I'm a sucker for non power 5 teams that rack up wins.
