I keep going back to 2003....
A good, but not great, qb
Veteran RBs that are hurt... after a loss the young guys step in...
    Dominating defense...

    Sound familiar?

One difference. in 06 we lost to and SEC West team. And ouor Road schedule is or could be Brutal.

If you want to make an unpopular comparison take AU this year. Undefeated, which includes a victory over us, a home schedule like what we had in 03, a qb that is adequate, good running game, swarming and all around good defense.

Locoguano- did you photoshop that ref? If so, how did you get the shadows right on the shirt- looks very realistic?

"Booty" is a name that was originally "Boutte", but, some genius in the family decided to "Anglicize" the French version of the name.

In "hind" sight (I could not resist), the decision seems misguided and unfortunate.

    N'es Pas?

It's not as unrealistic as you think. At least 4 teams ranked above us will lose, because they play each other (WVU-Louisville, Auburn/Florida/Georgia, OSU-Michigan). Louisville is probably good enough to beat WVU. But thanks to their starting RB and QB being injured, they are also likely to drop another game elsewhere. Don't forget that Texas still has to play OU, a game where anything can happen. Michigan also has to play in state rival Mich. St. which can go either way. USC proved this weekend, that they may not be as dominant as predicted. So you can see that it's not a complete stretch for us to end up in the top 2.

Auburn will probably run the table keeping LSU out of the SECCG. Sure anything can happen but sitting here today there is no reason for Auburn to loose. OSU will be plying Michigan, probably as an undefeated team, at home.
Both of these teams or very good and the situation is much more favorable for them than LSU.

As stated in an earlier post the season is not over and LSU is playing for a very good bowl and a very good season. I just think Auburn is going to end up playing OSU in the NC game. I don't see how as of today Auburn drops 2 games from here on out. Not even starting to talk about USC. There offense may not be firing on all cylinders right now with the drop off in talent but they still have a friendly schedule. And team spirit aside they aren't playing bad football.
