If our D plays as good and the O doesn't go 3 & out over and over, we have a chance. We also need a classic Bo Wallace pick fest of a game. He is due for one.
he certainly is and the stadium should be like those of yesteryear. a good time for a wallace crap your pants moment. whens the last time he threw a pick? at least 3 games id guess. hes way overdue.
We need Bo to have the game Mettenberger had in Oxford last year. Mettenberger took their secondary for granted and tried to force balls to Odell and Jarvis that were double covered. Maybe Wallace will take LSU's secondary for granted.
That's the weird thing about his season; no INT's in conference play. The six he's thrown in OOC games leads me to think it's a mentality issue—the minute he becomes over-confident he's due for more than one. While he didn't have any passing TD's last year in Oxford he's got to be feeling confident. He certainly didn't miss many passes last season.
Ole Miss is used to ruining seasons, not having someone ruin theirs. We can hope that they roll into Tiger Stadium high off of their #3 ranking, the memory that they beat us last year, and overconfident because of our stumbles against MSU and AU. There is no pressure on us; it's all on Ole Miss. I just plan to sit back and watch on Saturday with no true expectations and hope to be pleasantly surprised. If not, oh, well...
If I was a betting man, it would be on Ole Miss. I am assuming Tirk already laid down a bundle. Ole Miss allowing only 113 rushing yards per game. If we can't run it, Jennings may not complete a forward pass.
