Damn right, you all better be rooting for them Turtles this Thursday! The hope is still alive, although we would need a bit of help. I think after last year we tend to forget that an undefeated season is a fairly rare thing. USC, Texas, VTech can all be upset on anyday. While I'd never say LSU is the best team in the nation at this point, or even close to it. But if we played a relatively error-free game, we could beat anyone. I do not, however, think a 1-Loss LSU team would be able to jump a 1-Loss USC team, but I could be wrong.
If LSU wins out, and beats Georgia in the SECCG, LSU could play for the National Championship. 1. Virginia Tech loses somewhere in the second half of the season (like they always do) 2. Texas Tech beats Texas 3. UCLA or Cal beats USC Just two of those things need to happen.
Now that's good stuff right there. /falls out of chair laughing //realizes I would have purchased firebopelini.com had the domain already not been taken ///is a hypocrite
Somebody would also have to beat Texas Tech since they would still be undefeated with a victory over Texas.
Well, history is on our side. The top 2 teams in the first BCS poll have never played against each other for the national championship. It's hard to say which will fall, though.
You know, we could have history in the making this season. This past Saturday LSU nation as a whole was cheering for Norte Dame to beat USC. Something that NEVER HAPPENS! And if Texas Tech does not beat Texas this Saturday, LSU nation as a whole will be cheering for Texas ATM to beat Texas at Kyle Field. Something that NEVER HAPPENS!
It came to me in a dream. USC wins out. Texas loses to Texas Tech who in turn loses the Big XII championship game. Virginia Tech falls to Miami and Virginia. We beat Bama and UGA. We play USC in the Rose.
