my bad. ive got the 03 final bcs rankings pinned up in my office showing lsu with 1.2 QW (coming from 1 Ws over UGA and 1 W over OU), but after looking up the standings from the previous week (which was used to determine which teams would go to the Sugar bowl) i know you are right.
If Texas loses to A&M, and A&M wins out, Texas will not go to the Big 12 championship. If we win out, and beat Georgia in the SECCG, I think we could jump Texas. The only problem is I don't think the aggies can beat Texas. The same can be said for USC if they lose to UCLA. They would not win the PAC-10 but the impact would be less for them because they would not miss out on a conf championship game. IMO, if you don’t win your conference there is no way you should get a shot at the NC.
