for the distinction of being the SEC team playing amid the most turmoil and having the most to overcome this season. That is the dramatic story line to this game. It is no wonder these two teams are so tough.

    LSU:
    1. Lost the best coach in the country and got a new coach this year.
    2. Suffered the greatest natural disaster ever to hit a football team at the beginning of the season and is still operating under duress.
    3. Lost the premier running back in the conference in the preseason.

    Alabama:
    1. Prepared for the season in the midst of the Alabama-Tennessee-NCAA lawsuit.
    2. Lost their most versatile and dramatic offensive player after the offense was seemingly built around him.
    3. Finished last year looking up at their arch-rival, who went undefeated.

No other team in the conference has had as many challenges as these two teams by a long shot.

I step out on a limb here and say LSU has been a little more, no matter though because we still stomp their a$$es this weekend.

We get hit by the worst natural disaster in the nation's history and they suffer through watching Auburn go undefeated. I can't believe they would even compare the two. I mean really. Come on!

I'll give terry the benefit of the doubt on this post. terry is a tiger fan but without being down in Louisiana, it is hard to really come to realize the circumstance this area, the LSU team include, has gone through.

The news gives you no idea what is going on. You will say that sounds crazy but seriously, what you see on tv is sooo much better than it actually was/is.

I stand corrected. The only tragedy which has hit either team is the natural disaster. The things that have happened to Alabama are just obstacles incurred in the course of playing a game. Thanks for keeping the right perspective.

Bama did go thru a hard time, with their athletic
department, I wonder how many hundreds of thousands lost
their homes due to the ncaa infractions against them?
