Our rivals go in this order to me...

    1. Alabama
    2. Georgia
    3. LSU

Each team is a rival for a very different reason and each rivalry is different.

Alabama is a rival because of the obvious in-state rivalry. All those years of Bama not wanting to come here and play, etc.

Georgia is a old traditional rival, we have played more games against UGA than any other team in our history. This is a very respected rivalry, meaning that the fan bases really don't hate each other at all. Each fan respects the other program (at least from what I have witnessed). I flat out do not like Alabama and LSU, but i respect the UGA program and their fans. This one could almost be described as a sibling rivalry...whcih mean we want to beat them as much as anyone. Can't lose to your brother.

LSU has recently become a big rival with the fact that Alabama has been down and the West has been between LSU and Auburn for the most part. Throw in the fact that the home team has won 5 straight decision...so nobody can really claim they are better than the other recently. Add on some unfortunate incidents with a Auburn team of old, and some LSU fans...and you have the making of a good rivalry.

I use to work the entire state of alabama, and the bama/auburn rivalry is a bit larger than the tenn/bama game which is a huge rivalry within itself. but I remember Finebaum's shows during Iron Bowl Week and the passion that came out of that week on is show is indescribable.

Damn, it's hard to believe I wrote this! Musta been drunk at the time. I still concur with this observation, lol. Looks like LSU gets a HOME & HOME & HOME & HOME deal outta this ... until TU gets a new Dome. We need to beat TU to a ****ing pulp, crushing them by 100+ points ... using two-minute offense the entire game and calling timeouts with seconds to play in each half just to attempt any possible long range FGs.

THIS NEW GENERATION OF TU FANS MUST BE MADE TO LOATHE "EVEN THINKING" ABOUT LSU FB. We want all impact players in the Gulf Coast to KNOW that attending TU means a death sentence for any prospects to go pro and it also means GETTING THE EVER-LOVING **** KICKED OUTTA YOU EACH YEAR BY LSU!

THE NEW COMMANDMENTS OF LSU FB

    1. THOU SHALT HUMILIATE TU IN FB EACH YEAR WITH WINS BY MORE THAN 50 POINTS UNTIL THEY REFUSE TO PLAY LSU ANYMORE OUT OF SHAME!

bama is definitely Auburn's biggest rivalry. No one else even comes close and anyone who thinks otherwise is in the dark. 99.9% of Auburn fans despise bama and never pull for them to win at anything. A beautiful Saturday in Alabama is when Auburn wins and bama loses. The extent of a rivalry with other SEC schools goes and comes with the situation but it never as lasting or bad as the Auburn-bama deal. You guys can rape my wife, insult my Mother, laugh at my kids, throw urine soaked nerfballs at me, key my car and burn down my barn but you can't come close to making me dislike you as much as I dislike bama. Get the picture? :hihi: :hihi:

I assure you I will be pulling for LSU on Nov. 12 :thumb:

Pass a photo please, and remember, most here aren't into bestiality ... however, if you hold her down and earmark the kickers, I'll ...

    Florida has Florida State
    UGA has GATech
    Auburn has Alabama
    Alabama has Auburn
    South Carolina has Clemson
    MSU has Ole Miss
    Vandy has no one
    Kentucky has no one
Tennessee has no one that doesn't have a bigger rival (Florida, UGA).
Arkansas has no one that doesn't have a bigger rival (Texas).
LSU has no one, but I still think Tulane is our natural born rival, even if they are completely helpless.

Due to its standing as the only "major" team in the state, it is harder for an LSU, like a Nebraska, to have and maintain "true" rivalries on a consistent level.

NU's fall from grace has caused them to be supplanted by Texas as OU's biggest rival, much like Ole Miss and their decline the past 30-40 years has taken much of the sheen off the LSU rivalry.

I guess Auburn comes closest these days, in terms of mutual fan base dislike.
