What does LSU have to do to beat PSU?
-Establish and maintain field position. JoePa plays conservative and is reluctant to open up the offense (or take risks) on his side of the field. If LSU can establish field position, they may be able to keep PSU's offense "bottled up". LSU certainly has the edge in special teams play.

What does PSU have to do to beat LSU?
-While pressuring your QB comes to mind, I think if PSU can establish a successful ground game it will keep your offense off the field, tire your defense and force LSU out of it's gameplan. When Evan Royster, our starting RB, gets 100+ yards per game, PSU's record is close to perfect.

redzone O. kick coverage. stuff the run.

My guess and hope is that the month to get ready for this game give LSU the edge.
-PSU has the same amount of time to prepare. While LSU has a great bowl recent the past few years, Paterno's bowl record and record against the SEC isn't too shabby either.

the thinking is that the extra time will help the inexperienced QB more than the veteran. green RB too that may get better at picking up blitzes.

gotta go with lsu by a nose because of special teams. everything else seems to be a wash.
