LSU and Texas may very well be fighting for Herman

Strong isn't fired yet. They haven't shown any cards. End of the day Texas is probably the most pressure packed job there is and I can assure you there isn't a kitchen with more cooks in it. Not sure I want that job.

I think Herman may love the state of Texas, but I'm not convinced he has a particular affinity for UT. That's not to say he wouldn't be very interested in the job there, I just don't think UT in particular is his "dream job", Baton Rouge is close enough to TX that it won't be that big an adjustment. His wife can still zip over to Houston in no time for friends and social events if she's into that sort of thing.

I can't speak for Texas but you are incorrect. USC will be done with Lane after one more year of paying his buyout, we are still paying Sardrunkian on his, and we have a HC with a salary. We are also in the midst of a Coliseum renovation and we have a President who doesn't give a shit about football. Haden was overpaid for every facking thing he did.

We really don't have the pockets you think.

Been saying this for a while. I'm not worried about UT.

P&G looks a lot better than Burnt orange, and recruit wise I don't think it's even close. Besides, LSU has the Mecca of CFB in Death Valley.

Tiger Stadium seats 102,321 vs. 100,119 at Darrell K Royal–Texas Memorial Stadium.
