    NO couldn't support another major sports franchise, IMO. Let's just concentrate on keeping football/basketball.

    I agree. As big as New Orleans is, the majority of the citizens are very poor.

    Though I do think that have Nagin as our mayor is a huge plus for our sports franchises.

    I tend to agree that NO could not support baseball. Of course I thought the same thing about Denver in the mid 80s when the Denver Zephyrs couldn't draw flies to Mile High !! I guess the Rockies proved me wrong. The same could happen in NO, but I kinda doubt it. I remember some talk of a New Orleans franchise in the 80s but nothing lately. I was merely suggesting the extreme measure to get more Tiger coverage !!

    The only way New Orleans would support MLB is if they were big winners.
