LSU assistants as head coaching candidates

    Personally, I feel that if these guys get opportunities to be a head coach elsewhere, they should jump at the opportunity as quickly as possible, given the right circumstances. That includes Jimbo Fisher, as difficult as that could be to see happen. We as fans should understand that a head coaching position is the goal of many (most?) of these assistants. They toil as assistants for years, moving their families every few years and making little money for the chance to get an opportunity as a head coach. When it happens, we should congratulate them and wish them well. I'm sure we'll have to do this for Fisher very soon, possibly this year. In addition, it speaks volumes about the staff Saban has if his assistants are being plucked to be head coaches elsewhere.
