I don't think that LSU will consider this one "in the bag." I imagine they will be thrilled to finally be playing an SEC team. As a result, I expect us to whip the faux Tigers.
Over history, yes. In the Chizik era, not really. Cam and Fairley made a difference in 2009. Last year you won by 35. At worst, LSU fields the same talent as you did last year. At best, Auburn has only taken a small step backwards from last year. In 2009 when Chizik and his staff still had players to work with from Tubs era; they still lost by 21. 5dimes opened at 17.5 and before I had a chance to sit down it was at 18. That took all of 10 minutes. It's moved three points in 24 hours. You see where the money is going. I don't see LSU scoring less than 38 in this game, and I don't see Auburn scoring more than 17. Guessing a score? 48-10.
Oh, let me add this. Please run the ball a lot so the clock will continue to run as well. I really would like to see the first part of the Arizona vs Oregon game.
LSU is not going to get beat by this version of the war eagles. I can't speak for style points, but that's more vanity then reality.
Regardless of whether or not the aubies can hang with us, I think this will be a good experience for our green QB. He's never started a game on the road, so I hope the aubie faithful show-up and get rowdy because Mett needs to be tested.
