I brought him to his first LSU regular season game earlier this year (NM State) and he had a blast. But he has out of town cousins here this weekend so his going wouldn't be an option anyway. Besides, he likes soccer and, when he gets it in his mind to actually play he's pretty good. Just last weekend while playing defense he discovered a new technique. When kids came dribbling at him he would let go a full on war yell and it scared the shit out of a couple of them. Good stuff. Reminded me of this (some NSFW language):

That's accurate. In fact, for most initial appearances (which have to happen within 72 hours of incarceration) Skype is used these days. I've never actually had a trial conducted like that though. But I am set to sit second chair in January for a defendant who is trying his dead level best to get an insanity finding (despite the fact that two doctors have deemed him to be competent). We've already gotten approval to have an on-duty deputy in plain clothes sit next to him during the trial. The last fucking thing I need is for this crazy dude to show his ass and try to attack me or co-counsel (or the prosecutor, for that matter) during the trial just because he's bored.

This will be my first live LSU hosting Alabama game since 1985. Can't wait.

I don't post here much but I think bama is in for a rude awakening. They beat LSU the past three times. It's time for payback. It's time for LSU to teabag them.

2008 was a 2:30 kickoff that went into overtime and ended under the lights, and does not count as a loss on Saturday night.

The people without tickets that come only to tailgate are becoming a problem and soon LSU may have to deal with it for big games. Parking and traffic hassles are incredibly bad on game day. Trash overflow and long lines at the toilets is shameful. Conflicts arise when people only come out for big games and try to hijack a tailgating spot from ticket-hoiders who tailgate there every game. More is not always better.

Sadly, I think this will be the deciding factor. While I will be pulling and screaming for LSU to win, and I very much hope to be wrong, I fear today is the day that our complete lack of passing game and our total predictability will come back to haunt us. As we saw in the NC Game a few years back, when Saban has time to prepare his D and we have squadoosh for a passing game, it is extremely hard to move the ball. We are not likely to be able to line up and just overpower the Gumps the way we did to Ole Miss or KY. If we are consistently in 3rd down with obvious passing yardage to go, we are probably in for along night unless our D can totally shut them down.
