I kept my gold shirt on too, and I didn't sit near the computer all day, I was watching the game on tv.
Man I thought I was the only one to do that today...I came back in the 9th bases loaded no outs...I couldn't believe it...This team has that "IT" factor. I strongly believe, that we would have come back Sat, if it were not for the blown call at second(hidden ball trick).
Did anyone see Jacques Doucet say he overheard the radios of the ESPN people on the field at the top of the 9th? They said something to the effect of "We'll celebrate the Anteaters win at the pitcher's mound, the dogpile and the like for a bit and then throw it back to Bristol". I'm glad LSU continues to prove ESPN wrong.
A hello from Singapore! I was on the road flying for the last 32 hours, and missed both games! Just got into Singapore just to find out the results of the second game. Really got chills down the spine reading the thread! What can you say about this special team! :geaux::geaux::geaux::geaux::geaux:
Could this possibly have been scripted any better?!??! Nicholas Pontiff (18), left, celebrates with D.J. LeMahieu (17) and Matt Clark (9) after scoring the go-ahead run to beat the University of California at Irvine in the second game of the Baton Rouge super regional. LSU will play UC Irvine at 6 tonight in the deciding game at Alex Box Stadium to determine which team will advance to the eight-team NCAA College World Series in Omaha, Neb. LSU won Sunday, 9-7.
I knew when Pontiff went in the game that it was meant to be. Ghosts of Alex Box Stadium would not deny us at that point...it was fate. I also believe it's fate for us to close down Alex Box with a win and another CWS berth.
I was doing the same thing I wanted to post but I said nope cant do it. What sucks about tonight is we have a softball game at 845
