This wasn't as questionable as the call at 1st in the 8th inning. This would have put runners at 1 and 3 with 2 outs with another run.

A few thoughts from the game:

I thought LSU was in it the whole way. Alex White was nails, no doubt, but there were some plays here and there that costs us.

Schimpf error led to two more runs scored.

    Wild pitch scored a run.

Jared Mitchell misplay in the outfield = another run

Offensively, base running was scetchy, especially in the 8th. Jared Mitchell's check swing down the 3rd base line should have been a double, thus Blake Dean's single would have scored two. We would have had two plated before there was an out in the innning with Gibbs and Clark coming up. Who knows what happens after that?

All in all, it was a solid effort. UNC hit the ball extremely well. You can't deny 17 hits. But all that being said, we gave them 4 runs.

I agree... we played bad, NC was lucky with some of those hits but giving up 17 hits we are lucky it wasn't much worse.. hope we can tighten up those loose ends in the next game... we better....:geaux:

Hope they got over the jitters in the first game of the CWS.
Now that their backs are against the wall, hope they fight back the way we all know they are capable of.

Well, LSU baseball would be a whole lot better if the umps could actually SEE!!!

We have been victims of endless questionable calls. Do they not want us to win?

I hate Rice too, but I hope that we put them out on Tuesday, I am making a trip to Houston next week, and it sure would be good to wear my :helmet:, I will wear it anyways, but it would be better if we beat them.

Yep, I would much rather them strike out swinging instead of standing there.

I hope they get lost too.

Yep, we just didn't play good ball tonight.

    I hope so too.

Yep, we know what they are made of, and the :tigbas: know what they are made of too, I think they will show up on Tuesday ready to play.
