We found another way to lose this time by giving up two runs in the 9th. Final 3-1 We've got talent but we're just not a good team. Looks like football season will be starting sooner this year as we're getting real close to sticking a fork in these guys. This is the worst feeling I've ever had for our baseball program in 27 years of watching. They just can't win.
we left Gausman in there in the 9th to go for the complete game (b/c we don't have a solid closer this year), and he gave up a 2-run home run to give Auburn a 3-1 lead to end the game, Dozar was up with a runner on, and he knocks the crap of it and everyone is all excited thinking 2-run home run, Tigers tie it up! Woo! But it feel a few feet short and their outfield was able to catch it for the final out on the warning track, a step away from the fence
