Another sad note: the wife of former LSU QB Jamie Howard passed away from a rare form of cancer.

If true, reports on twitter are saying he was shot after stepping in to protect a friend during a fight.

There is video available to see how it went down. WS steps in and toward the guy who is sort of backing up. Apparently, he’s armed at that moment, and WS swings at him, but then just drops as he is shot. Why he’d choose to engage a guy with a gun, I just don’t get.

It's been said he was protecting a friend. I don't know, I wasn't there. Tragic and senseless imo.

LSU fan or not, if I was black I would not send my kid to Baton Rouge (or keep him here).
