well if the FBI wanted to help clean up College Football I know 2 places they can start. Alabama and Ohio State The two most corrupt men in sports are their coaches. The best laugh I ever got was the panel on how to do it ( Clean it up ) had these two horses a@@ on it.
It is starting to sound like the only way to recruit BBall players is pay for play - they just aren't getting caught yet.
If the Feds press charges, they have more than enough of a case. Also, they only have to get to another defendant to testify against someone.
Sounds like its the defendants, not prosecution, trying to enter third party taped calls which I believe is illegal in addition to immaterial ergo the no admittance. That said, damage is done and feds have a lead to chase for right or wrong.
College basketball has always had payment to players. The structure, source, and dynamics of the money have all shifted but the reality has not. It is a sport where incredible individual talent impacts the final product more than any other collegiate team sport and thus we have the longstanding financial incentive's existence. The look and feel of college basketball has changed far more than the actual pay for play concept has in the last 40+ years.
look at the nba officials. They want you to believe it was just that one ref. He did an interview and said look at my phone records. I was talking to other refs on how they would call their games and I told them how I would call mine. NBA is fixed by vegas and so are a lot of games that we know nothing about. Look at some of these calls like in Bama games . It is obvious something is going on. Vegas knows a hell of a lot how some of these games are going to finish.
Been like that. Basketball starts 5 instead of 11/22 like football so you can see how much less money can go a long way. cheap cheap
Still, the high profile recruits are going to get paid. Leonard Fournette probably made as much as Ben Simmons.
