So he is for sure a better coach now? He knows his wife is a better cook but the other is unknown.

What does Coach O have other than being a Coonass? That's a great start by the way, being this is LSU! He has done enough to make you start another thread about how much the offense has changed. In a positive way for a change.

You mention clouded judgement, The clouded judgement is someone who is constantly crying for an offensive minded coach. Sure we have a lot of football left. No one is saying he has earned the job but there are a ton of great signs. This is a HUGE turn around from where this team was under Miles. Now imagine Coach O with an entire off season to re-program a new mind set. To implement a different offensive system. No one will love LSU more. No one would not be our coach no matter who comes calling more than Coach O.

Herman will choose Texas or USC over LSU. He loves the state of Texas and is from Cali so he is out the question.

Also you have unrealistic expectations by saying a coach that will lead us into the playoffs every other year. That is probably unrealistic in this day and age. Only Saban has had that type of success. However we can certainly be in the mix most seasons. We should be in the mix. Coach O was in a no win situation at Ole Miss. He should have had the opportunity at USC. So while his past record is not stellar he has some good results in there. Not to mention what he has done thus far. Again, he changed the team enough to cause you to start a positive thread about the LSU offense. If Miles were coaching the game would have come down to the end. You would have had several threads complaining about different aspects of the offense.

If we bring in an offensive guru like you're dead set we need then you'll be starting threads complaining about the defense giving up 40 pts per game. Defense wins championships.

If Miles had still been coach final score would have been 21-17 with the game in doubt until the final minute

I think we finally saw what was lacking with Les Miles recently, we played like shit the first half and usually under Miles we wouldve came out still lackluster and got a 27-13 win or 30-17 against Southern Piss. HOWEVER, I was very impressed in the energy and execution that we saw after the first half. The most important trait for an LSU head coach is how they motivate when we are not playing our best. Coach O knows how to do it. Ready for next weekend the first real test.
