Yes, Texas' SOS is better than USC's, but my point was that the voters should be taking it upon themselves to decide that Texas is playing better than USC and start changing some first place votes. I wasn't trying to say Texas hasn't played a tougher schedule.
Meanwhile, SportsCenter is in meltdown mode over Texas jumping USC. Does no one realize being in the top 2 is all that matters?
Here's a link to the Colley Matrix web site. He has Texas SOS ranked at 26, ours at 28 and USC's at 72. http://www.colleyrankings.com/currank.html
I do find it amusing that the voters can vote USC so overwhelmingly number one when their are at least 2 other teams that deserve strong consideration based on the actual results so far.
As much fun as following the BCS is I think I'd be more happy to see LSU put together a truly complete game against an awesome opponent (hint: Bama.) When I say 'complete,' I don't mean a 'win without mistakes,' I mean a game where multiple players step-it-up and surpass their own capabilities. Not only playing to their capability, but surpassing them. I think LSU is set to do that. Our players will get into such a groove with UNT and Appy State that we'll finish the season playing some really, really impressive ball. Whatcha think?
You say that as if you can only choose one of the two things. You can actually have fun following the BCS and be happy to see LSU put together a complete game at the same time. It's all part of being a fan. :thumb:
