affect is almost always used as a verb...which is an action. So think A/affect for action. effect is almost always a noun...so think E for end product. this is how i was taught. ie: martin's post created zero effect, just like all his other posts. tirk's post affected everyone's ability to learn more than they thought, unlike martin's.
Someone who is responsible with this pole crap needs to explain how teams with two or more defeats somehow is better than a 1 loss team. This is the first time I can remember the computers being this way off with the teams in the top ten compaired to the human voters.......... I will repeat what some have said.....ANY POLL THAT RANKS A 4 LOSS TEAM OVER A ONE LOSS SEC TEAM SHOULD BE DISMISSED AS A JOKE. o:
If I'm not mistaken, this is not a poll. this is just a ranking of schedules. With that said there is something to be said about that. I don't think Michigan has had the hardest schedule. Yes the Big 10 is tough this year and has lots of parody but I would put Ohio State ahead of UM. So USC has a top 20 schedule and LSU has a top 62 schedule?? I don't buy their system.
Yeah, I didn't catch that the first time around, now I feel like a 'tard. "With that being said", I will say  it is a pretty good statement. Thanks for catching it.
It's OK...I've got one too. "For those who have not done so please do so at this time". Try that one in a crowded airport gate area and watch the confusion fall on 300 faces.:hihi:
